Hut Hub | Workplace Reimagined 3-Architecture Competitions

Hut Hub redefines the concept of the workplace as a living organism rooted in nature. Inspired by the resilient structure of the mangrove trees in Al Khor, Qatar, the project translates their exposed, intertwining systems into a semi-indoor environment that blurs the boundary between landscape and architecture. Four hut prototypes: Recreational, Collaboration, Concentration, and Learning, shape the spatial rhythm of the site, guiding circulation through a hierarchy of experiences rather than corridors. Each conical form is oriented northward to invite soft daylight and natural ventilation, while its structural frame morphs into furniture, seating, and shelving, dissolving the line between architecture and utility. Greenery planted along upper beams breathes life into the interior, filtering air and light in equal measure. Encircling it all, a continuous loop walkway encourages motion, mindfulness, and connection. Conceived as an adaptable, low-impact system, Hut Hub envisions the future workplace not as an enclosure, but as an evolving ecosystem that grows with its users.
